Baby Loss Awareness Week
9-15 October
Starlight Walk
Friday 9th October
at Marazion and
St. Michael's Mount
Join us and many other Sands groups around the country on a Starlight Walk to walk under the stars in memory of every loved and much missed baby. Our Starlight Walk on Friday 9th October is a gentle, evening walk along the seafront from Marazion Station Car Park to St. Michael's Mount which will light up in pink and blue specially for the start of Baby Loss Awareness Week.
The 1.2 km 18 minute Starlight Walk will set off at 7.15pm, starting from Marazion Car Park and will walk along the seafront to the end of Marazion Beach opposite St. Michael's Mount which be lit up in blue and pink for Baby Loss Awareness Week. There will be candle lighting, poems and a reflective silence. You will then return back to the Car Park.
The Starlight Walks are where people across the UK come together to remember and honour babies who have died during pregnancy or shortly after birth. Join thousands of others and walk under the stars in memory of a much-loved baby.
Walk side by side while raising vital funds to support families affected by pregnancy and baby loss. By taking part, you’ll help fund essential bereavement care, support services, and research.
You can register for the walk and donate to Cornwall Sands HERE on the national Sands website and they'll send you a lantern, candle and remembrance card (registration fee/donation £7) or you can just turn up and we will supply some candles.
